FAQS

MLS CAMERA GUY

FAQs

Q: How much do you charge?

A: Our fees are based on the size of the home, scope of the project and package requested. We are more than happy to provide a fee schedule upon request and/or discuss your project's goal.

Q: What is the turn-around time?

A: 24 hours from time of shoot, including weekends. Certain add-on services such as medium format photography, virtual staging and drone work require up to 2-3 days.

Q: How do I receive my pictures?

A: We use an intuitive and automated delivery system that allows our customer to preview, securely pay for and download the images once payment has been made via credit or debit card.

Q: How many pictures will I receive?

A: We deliver up to 30 professionally-taken MLS-ready .jpg images. We are always happy to provide additional images for a small fee per image.

Q: Do you take credit cards as a form of payment? How about checks?

A: We use Photo Invoice for secure direct on-line payment processing and image-delivery. We value our customer's security and thus do not take one's card number over the phone. Payment by mail is accepted with prior approval.

Q: What type of equipment do you use?

A: We use state-of-the-art digital cameras (DSLR) with a wide-angle lens that is ideal for capturing context. Our photographers use the identical camera system and shooting technique to ensure consistent image quality.

Q: Do you guarantee your work?

A: Absolutely! We offer a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. If you are not pleased with our work, we will gladly correct the concern or offer a full refund.

Q: I have a very expensive and elegant listing that will be featured in print media. Can you help?

A: Absolutely! We have a medium format digital camera that has an image sensor 2.5x the size of the camera system we otherwise use. This affords an incredible amount of detail / dynamic range that assures crisp, pristine and extremely high-quality results. Call us to discuss fees for this type of commercial / architectural photography.

Q: Once I pay for the pictures, are they mine to keep and use however I want?

A: While our images are copyright protected, we are always open to assisting with a mutually-acceptable arrangement. A copyright release can be purchased. We are always happy to provide a copy of our License, Terms and Usage Agreement.

Q: Do I have to be present at the photo shoot?

A: It is entirely up to you. All we ask is that the property be photo-ready by the time we arrive.

Q: The home seller wants to be there for the photo shoot. Is that OK?

A: Of course! We welcome proactive home sellers as they can help assist in the minor decluttering or staging that routinely occurs during a photo shoot.

Q: Do you mind calling the home owner to schedule an appointment?

A: We are happy to help in any way possible to facilitate a smooth photo shoot and customer service experience.

Q: How do you access the property?

A: As a member of the Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS®, Art has access to the Sentri Lockbox. If one of our other photographers is assigned to the project, a one-day code is requested if the home owner or listing agent will otherwise not be available to open the property. We are trustworthy. Our reputation and livelihood depend on it.

Q: How long does a photo shoot take?

A: It all depends on the size of the property and any requested add-on services. For a basic shoot (Package A), we allocate up to 1 hour.

Q: What is a twilight shoot?

A: Some consider twilight to be the best type of light for architectural photography. Google defines it as "the soft glowing light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon caused by the refraction and scattering of the sun's rays from the atmosphere". This type of light does not last long and so timing and skill is of the essence when using it for exterior photography. See our Sample Images page for examples of this ancillary and unique service.

Q: How do I make an appointment for a photo shoot?

A: We try to make doing business with us as easy as possible. You can email, call or text. We strive to return inquires within a few minutes as we know time is valuable for yo and your client.

Q: Can you offer tips on how I can help to get a property ready for a photo shoot?

A: Of course! For the asking, we will email you a Day of Shoot Checklist. It is filled with common sense tips and ideas on how to maximize a property's features and amenities in preparation for the photo shoot.
